All parcels are shipped via our nominated couriers and are fully insured to your postal address, every parcel requires a signature upon delivery.
International customers are responsible for local customs and import charges. No customs and import duties are payable within the UK & European Union (excluding Switzerland, Norway & Iceland).
- We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 - 14 days. A small selection of products & bespoke design items do have an extended delivery timescale and can take up to 4 weeks for delivery.
- Loose Precious Gemstones are dispatched within 2 - 5 days.
- A signature is required upon receipt of all orders.

We want to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase from The Stone Lab and offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date your order arrives. All items must be returned in an unworn condition, with all original packaging.
We do not accept returns for engraved, made to order items and bespoke design/personalised items.
How to return
To return your order you must notify us in writing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please ensure items are returned within 5 working days of notification of return for a full refund or exchange (subject to the conditions above).
We aim to make the refund or exchange within 10 days of receipt of the returned goods. Refunds will be made in the same form as the original payment.
UK Return Postage is FREE
- European and International customers are responsible for return postage costs.
- When returning items please ensure you obtain proof of postage.
- Before returning your order, please request a RETURNS NUMBER (RN) by emailing email@example.com
Any items being returned should be returned by Royal Mail Special Delivery (with the appropriate compensation) to: Steven Stone, 150 Ashley Road, Hale, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA15 9SA.
Please ensure that you fully insure the item(s). As the parcel will be in your responsibility until we sign for it.
Please note that we cannot be responsible for items which are lost on their return to us so please be sure to retain your proof of posting.
Bespoke items specially commissioned can be returned within 7 days of receiving your order. These are items that CAN’T be purchased through this website. Bespoke items are not fully refundable.
The refund amount varies from order to order. Typically, the diamond is fully refunded, and the setting is refunded by approximately 50% (if you wish to know exactly before you place your order, just ask us).
This refund is only available if the item is unworn, in a saleable condition and is returned with its original packaging and certificate(s). You should also include proof of purchase. Please note that all jewellery returned will be checked by our experts to ensure it is as originally sent, by us to you, before a refund is processed.
For items such as create your own ring, 3 stone ring, earrings and pendants (these are items that are made from a diamond and setting), we offer 30 days to change the design. Any difference in cost between the setting designs will be charged.
Faulty And Damaged Goods
In the unlikely event that you receive your item(s) in a faulty or damaged state, please notify us as soon as possible, these items will be dealt with in accordance with our returns procedure. Any item that is found to be damaged or faulty which is not our fault will be charged at the appropriate rate.

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
Ordering with The Stone Lab is quick, easy, and secure. Once you have selected your Stone Lab jewellery, simply follow the below steps:
1. Click on the Add to Cart button, to place the item in your Shopping Bag.
2. Follow the directions through the checkout process to complete your order.
Your order will not be placed until the very end of the checkout process, when you will be asked for your payment information.

During your virtual consultation you'll be able to inspect a selection of our beautiful fine jewellery and a member of our jewellery consultancy team will be on hand to answer all your questions.

WHAT IF MY RING DOESN'T FIT?
We are passionate about ensuring that all our customers are one hundred percent satisfied with their ring and therefore offer a one-time free ring resize service (not including postage) on all ring purchases within 30 days of receiving your order.
Please note that it takes approximately 5-10 days to resize your ring.
DO YOUR RING COLLECTIONS FEATURE ANY BRANDING?
None of our fine jewellery features The Stone Lab branding.
We do however hallmark all our jewellery in line with UK regulations. Each hallmark includes a sponsor mark, fineness mark and assay office mark, indicating the piece’s creator, precious metal content, place & year the jewellery was hallmarked. This hallmark isn’t visible when worn and is engraved in extremely small text on the inside of the ring’s band.
